Job Description Join our dedicated team as a VP of Technology, where you will lead the IT strategy for our nonprofit organization. This crucial role involves aligning technology with our mission to enhance operations, improve service delivery, and boost fundraising efforts. You will oversee critical infrastructure including cloud services, manage robust security protocols, ensure data integrity, various open source platforms, and elevate our digital presence. Beyond technical oversight, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring your team, managing IT budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and acting as a key stakeholder liaison to drive innovation and efficiency across all technological initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Alignment: Develop and execute IT strategy that supports organizational goals, ensuring technology drives mission success. Operations & Infrastructure Management: Oversee core platforms, cloud services, networks, data security, and overall system reliability. Innovation & Digital Transformation: Identify emerging technologies, improve user experience (staff/volunteer/donor), manage our website, and drive data-informed decisions. Team & Vendor Management: Build, mentor, and manage internal IT staff, plus manage external IT consultants and vendors (SLAs, contracts). Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with leadership, programs, and development to ensure technology meets evolving needs; communicate effectively with the board and constituents. Budget & Policy: Manage the IT budget, allocate resources efficiently, establish robust IT policies, and ensure compliance across all technology operations. Requirements & Qualifications: Extensive experience in IT leadership and strategy, ideally within a nonprofit or similar mission-driven environment. Proficiency in managing cloud services, Proxmox, Wireshark, Wazuh Demonstrated expertise in IT operations, infrastructure management, data security, and network reliability. Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate contracts effectively. Strong financial acumen with experience in IT budget management and resource allocation. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
