We have an excellent opportunity to join one of Waterloo Region’s top employers as a Business Operations Associate in our Business Operations department. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is being hired as a 12-month contract position.

The Role:

Reporting to the Team Leader, Business Operations, the Business Operations Associate is responsible for administrative and coordination functions supporting day-to-day operations and essential business processes across the organization. The individual follows a methodical process-driven approach to liaise with internal and external parties to ensure customer service excellence and the accurate and timely fulfillment of requests. The role is results-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and keen attention to detail. This role requires time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities to meet business needs.

The successful candidate can expect to:

  • Engages actively with internal systems and takes ownership over the updating, data entry and processing of system information to support essential business processes
  • Acts as a liaison between various functional areas and external parties for the coordination of day-to-day activities and essential business processes
  • Provides support to projects and other organizational initiatives
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas to support the evolution of essential business processes and the development of risk controls and workflows to improve service delivery
  • Responsible for learning and effectively executing various tasks within the Business Operations team to support peers during high volume periods and for business continuity purposes

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have post secondary education with minimum 1 year experience in a process-oriented or relevant experience
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with an enthusiasm for building relationships
  • You have strong attention to detail and are highly organized
  • You have the ability to prioritize to meet timelines and demonstrate flexibility to adapt
  • You act proactively with strong problem-solving skills and help identify potential issues and propose solutions
  • Proficient in navigating various software and other tools
