We are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant (Contractor) to support our growing portfolio. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working closely with operations, has strong property accounting fundamentals, and values flexibility while contributing to a stable, well-established organization.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements for a portfolio of residential propertiesProvide financial and analytical support to Property ManagersClearly communicate financial information to ManagementPrepare GST/HST returns and Non-Resident Tax formsPrepare and input annual budget figures into the accounting system, ensuring accuracyComplete bank reconciliationsReview narrative components of monthly reports for accuracy and consistencyPrepare monthly owner distributions using cash‑flow spreadsheetsSupport year-end audit compilation and reviewsPerform other accounting and reporting duties as assignedQualificationsAn accounting designation (CPA or in progress preferred)1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in property accountingStrong analytical and accounting skills with excellent attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an approachable, professional mannerAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlinesStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, financial analysis)Experience with Yardi is a strong assetWhy Join LarlynFamily-owned organization with a stable, long-term outlookCollaborative environment with direct access to leadership and decision-makersOpportunity to work closely with property operations and management teamsFlexible contractor arrangement with meaningful, hands‑on workWell-established systems and processes supporting your success #J-18808-Ljbffr
