Location: Toronto, ON – in office 4 days per week Main Responsibilities: Act as the dedicated day-to-day Project Manager for a delivery squad that includes design, content, research, and development partners. Own the coordination of work across the squad, with shared team members supporting multiple initiatives, and serve as a key partner to the Product Owner. Manage project planning, timelines, dependencies, and resourcing to ensure digital design initiatives for Public Sites are delivered efficiently and predictably. Translate business and design priorities into clear plans, ensuring work is properly scoped, sequenced, and ready for execution. Facilitate and support Agile delivery by leading ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, refinements, and retrospectives. Proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, and work with cross‑functional partners to resolve issues and keep work moving forward. Ensure alignment across Digital Design, Marketing, Content, and Technology teams to maintain consistency and quality across public‑facing experiences. Track progress, report on delivery status, and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Support adherence to established processes, governance, accessibility requirements, and design system usage by ensuring teams have what they need to deliver effectively. Highly organized self‑starter with strong time‑management and project‑management skills, able to manage multiple workstreams, shared resources, and competing priorities. Experienced in working within agile delivery models and enabling squads to operate efficiently through clear planning, prioritization, and execution. Familiarity with accessibility requirements and governance considerations, ensuring teams plan for and meet required standards. Familiarity with design systems and digital standards, with the ability to support teams in applying them consistently and flagging risks when deviations occur. Future state of success for the new designer: Has successfully adapted to team processes, tools, and ways of working within the first 3 months, and is confidently managing delivery within an agile environment. Demonstrates a strong understanding of Public Sites standards, governance, accessibility requirements, and how design systems and content models are applied across public‑facing experiences. Is comfortable collaborating within their assigned squad, is self‑motivated and self‑sufficient, and effectively manages relationships across a broader network of cross‑functional partners. Proactively identifies delivery risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and team efficiency. Acts as a trusted partner to Product, Design, Marketing, and Technology, enabling teams to focus on high‑quality outcomes through strong planning and execution. Shows potential for growth into more senior roles such as Senior Project Manager, Delivery Lead, Program Lead, or leadership roles supporting broader design and digital delivery practices. Program / Technology / Software Knowledge Required: At least 7 years of experience in project management, delivery, or digital product roles, ideally within digital, marketing, or customer‑facing platforms. Experience supporting or delivering work across large‑scale public websites, e‑commerce, or content‑driven digital platforms, including responsive web and mobile experiences. Demonstrated experience using project management, planning, and collaboration tools such as JIRA (JIRA Specifically), Confluence, Mural, Figma (for design coordination), and delivery tracking tools. Strong ability to communicate delivery strategy, project plans, and trade‑offs clearly, and to articulate rationale behind prioritization and sequencing decisions. Experience working in Agile and Lean delivery environments, partnering closely with design, product, research, and development teams. (Agencies and other high design request volume departments) Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead meetings, drive alignment, and keep teams focused on outcomes. Must‑have Skills / Experiences and/or Education: Experience working within large‑scale public websites, marketing platforms, or content‑driven digital ecosystems. Familiarity with partnering closely with product managers, business analysts, designers, developers, and quality engineering teams within complex organizations. Understanding of UX and content workflows, including user journeys, wireframes, and information architecture, to better support planning and delivery. Nice‑to‑have Skills: Exposure to user research practices and methodologies, with the ability to support research planning, coordination, and integration of insights into delivery plans. Skills to Build within the Team: Stronger product thinking, including the ability to align delivery plans to broader business and customer outcomes. Improved use of measurement frameworks to trackSimplify performance, impact, and success of digital initiatives. Deeper understanding of user research practices, including how insights inform prioritization, planning, and delivery decisions.
