Overview We are seeking dedicated On‑Call Healthcare Security Guards to support patient, staff, and public safety across Alberta’s healthcare facilities. The role offers premium hourly wages, travel incentives, extensive training, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. Responsibilities Monitor patient safety and report changes to clinical staff. Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and de‑escalate high‑stress situations. Enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures and handle confidential information discreetly. Screen visitors and maintain detailed logs of all interactions and incidents. Utilize radio and computer applications to communicate site activities. Perform physical intervention when necessary to maintain order on site. Requirements Availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and travel up to 200 km from home. Alberta Security License and valid Class 5 driver’s licence with personal vehicle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer‑service abilities with a professional demeanor. Ability to write comprehensive reports, maintain logs, and make calm decisions under pressure. Capacity to walk 18‑20 km and climb stairs. Legally eligible to work in Canada.
