Senior Manager, Operational Resilience

What is the opportunity? Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans; oversee testing, emergency response, and recovery. Guide the selection of operating strategies for the continuation of the business within a recovery time objective. Typically manage two or more specialized departments comprising supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees. What will you do? Lead the Wealth Management Testing Center of Excellence team responsible for creating and executing test cases covering Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Incident Management and Third Parties. Identify opportunities for process improvement and create proposals. Develop, enhance and disseminate information on testing processes, standards and initiatives; provide support for training on testing. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Wealth Management Technology stakeholders to leverage and partner in Disaster Recovery exercises, minimizing impact on business and operational stakeholders. Monitor and report on the compliance of critical processes, services and technology, in accordance with applicable Policies and Standards such as Business Continuity Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management readiness, Operational Resilience and Incident & Crisis Management. Support businesses in relationships with audit and government regulators on business continuity issues. Lead business recovery, crisis management, emergency management, contingency planning and disaster‑preparedness planning; provide support and expertise during live events. Develop processes to log issues/gaps from test scenarios in the Enterprise Issue Management tool, partner with Business and Operational stakeholders, and monitor and report on issues to ensure compliance with applicable Policy and/or Standard. What do you need to succeed? Must‑have College or university degree in Business Administration, Technology, BCM, or Emergency Management. 3–5 years of combined knowledge, skill and background in operational risk, risk practices or business continuity. Knowledge of Enterprise Business Continuity Risk Management, Incident & Crisis Management, Third Party Risk Management and Operational Resilience Standards and Policy. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams, with internal departments or suppliers, building partnerships with stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization. Nice to Have Knowledge of RBC WM Lines of Business: business products/services, processes/workflows. Process documentation, Business Architecture, Tabletop testing and/or Workshop facilitation experience. Knowledge of Riskonnect (or other BCM tools), Archer, EIM and Microsoft Office tools.
