Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities :Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in maintenance to promote uptime and eliminate excessive overtime in conjunction with the maintenance plannerAssigns workers to duties such as maintenance, repair or renovation and obtains bids for additional work from outside contractorsDirects contracted projects to verify adherence to specificationsEstimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments in conjunction with the maintenance plannerInterprets specifications and job orders to workersRecommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of productsAnalyzes and resolves work problemsInitiates plans to motivate workers to achieve goalsInitiates promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measuresPlans ,administers and reports on maintenance budgetPurchases building and maintenance supplies, machinery and equipment and furnitureManages the continual improvement and execution of the planned and preventative maintenance program for all site equipmentEnsure reliable weekly startup of all of all production areasDeliver site initiatives relating to Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and PeopleManage the execution of the preventative maintenance program and continual improvement initiativesMember of Food Safety Committee- Ensure that compliance to the policies and procedures of the facility and Regulatory and Customer requirements are being metEnsure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and qualityQualifications :Required to possess general knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic technicalAbility to prioritize and delegate effectivelyKnowledge of government regulations as they apply to OHSAComputer literate – proven experience using Excel, Word and OutlookKnowledge of GMP’s and HACCPCollege or University degree in Mechanical Engineering / Technical FieldTechnical training certificate, diplomas, or university degree in engineeringPreferred5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environmentAspire Bakeries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
