Job Title SharePoint Developer Location Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Job Summary We are currently seeking a SharePoint Developer to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia. As a SharePoint Architect, you will help clients leverage this powerful technology to fulfill business needs. You will design solutions and strategies for SharePoint implementation based on client requirements and help identify new technologies that can improve our organizational offerings. Responsibilities Design and implement SharePoint solutions for document management, including site architecture, taxonomy, and metadata. Develop custom SharePoint applications and workflows to enhance document management capabilities. Migrate existing document management systems to SharePoint, ensuring data integrity and security. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for document management. Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users. Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance and security. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a SharePoint Architect or in a similar role. 3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 integration, including Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. 3+ years of experience providing end-user support and training on SharePoint functions. 3+ years experience developing and presenting SharePoint solutions that are persuasive and align with Microsoft best practices. 2+ years of experience preparing and making recommendations to customers for SharePoint solutions in a consultative capacity. Preferred Skills Proficient in SharePoint development and architecture. Strong knowledge of document management principles and best practices. Experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2013/2016/2019, and Office 365. Familiarity with SQL Server, Windows Server, and IIS. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
