Apply today and become a part of our exciting journey Position Overview LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a User Experience (UX) Writer in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for creating interactive web products and services that are helpful, easy to understand and a pleasure to use for our 24 million plus yearly visitors. A primary responsibility will be improving the usability of our products by refining the structure and readability of our interactive questionnaires. This is a full‑time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities in office or hybrid. Primary Responsibilities Develop interactive product questionnaires that customers fill out to create customized legal documents Write and edit text to make the creation of legal documents simple and easy for our users Collaborate with our Legal, Design, Development and QA departments to create powerful, interactive web products that are optimized for conversion Gather and sort through quantitative and qualitative data to determine problem areas and opportunities for improvement across web products Implement best practices and explore the creation of new best practices for web products Utilize internal tools to implement specifications to a high standard Conduct product research and user testing to inform questionnaire improvements Develop innovative strategies for increasing user engagement and retention Continually develop skills by reading and researching about user experience optimization and digital marketing Knowledge And Skill Requirements Post‑secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Law, Business, Library Science, or other relevant fields Technical writing experience would be an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing Ability to communicate complicated information in a succinct way that users can understand Understanding of conversion optimization, consumer psychology, and online marketing Ability to effectively provide and receive feedback Self‑driven with ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to identify opportunities and suggest new ideas Quality decision making and sound judgement Ability to learn, work with, and troubleshoot various types of technology Knowledge of law and legal matters would be an asset Working knowledge of UX best practices would be an asset Software development knowledge would be an asset Bilingual in French, German or Spanish would be an asset Why You Should Join The LawDepot Team Excellent total compensation package Comprehensive health and dental benefits, plus an additional Health Care Spending Account Great work life balance (37.5 hour work weeks, flexible schedules, ability to bank hours) Three weeks paid vacation, plus bonus personal days Continuous learning opportunities, including LinkedIn Learning subscriptions and training budgets Company share plan Free catered lunches for the entire office Monthly social events for team members to enjoy (think axe throwing, rock climbing, board games, food trucks, trivia contests, and charitable activities) Casual work environment Personal offices for focused work and to have your individual space (plus collaborative workspaces for when you want to meet with the team) Free and easily accessible parking Southgate Mall, Whyte Ave, and Calgary Trail restaurants are only minutes away Hybrid working arrangements for balance between getting work done at home and engaging with others in the office How To Apply Please submit a resume and cover letter online via our Careers page at https://www.lawdepot.ca/career.
