Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Manufacturing Business Operations, Manufacturing Excellence (MBO ME) team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer to support innovation projects that drive change at the various North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs) across the Region and ultimately improve Team Member Smiles. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Manufacturing Digital Transformation’s (MDT) use case Machine Reliability Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (MR FMEA) through its initial development and deployment to the NAMCs. The MR FMEA target is to create standards for FMEA processes that enable a digital FMEA tool which will be used to determine the right equipment reliability and predictability activities.

This is a regional role and will interface with all US, MX and Canada NAMC’s. What you’ll be doing Demonstration of the Toyota Way through daily actions Help drive standardization of policy, practice, process and tools across the region Produce documents like Business Process Maps (BPMs), Business Requirements, Test Cases, Training Guides, and more that will guide the MR FMEA Application Developers Use your previous experiences in Toyota to help you collaborate directly with the MR FMEA Application Developers to help produce a digital tool that has strong adoption across the region Support creation of any standards that need to be revised or established to ensure the MR FMEA project’s success Form collaborative partnership with NAMC’s, MDT, SOAR, PE and IT to gain regional alignment on key items produced for the MR FMEA project so that there is strong adoption across the region Bring innovative ideas forward to identify and resolve gaps in the project Challenge and break down barriers to current systems in pursuit of establishing the optimal business process to advance Toyota’s efforts into “Factory of Future “ What you bring Bachelor’s degree (or higher) Engineering or equivalent experience 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Experience in Asset Management and Maintenance Operations Maximo Experience Experience in TBP or PDCA Experience with the Microsoft 365 suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) What you may bring 2 years of Toyota Experience in Maintenance or Engineering Basic Production and Quality Management Background Experience supporting a Pilot Activity and/or a Regional Working Group Knowledge of Toyota Internal Systems: SAP, General Stores, PEPS, Data Marketplace Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL developer, PG Admin, DBeaver, or PowerBI) Belonging at Toyota Our success begins and ends with our people.
