Further information is available at www.bgis.com.12-Month Contract OpportunityHybrid - OttawaSummaryThis Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation and coordination of planning, reporting, cost control and client interface. This role supports all accounting and reporting functions including the accounting/reporting needs of BGIS staff members. Dollars per budget for the ARM II is greater than $10 Million, the square feet managed is over 5 million, and the number of buildings managed is over 100.ResponsibilitiesOversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close accruals and proceduresSupport the preparation and coordination of planning, reporting, cost control and client interfaceEnsure diligence for work initiation and authorization, work implementation and control, inspection and documentation of completed work, and paymentEnsure data integrity through the management of data quality reviews and the implementation of data management processesSupport internal and external audit requirementsProvide additional support to the Portfolio Financial/Reporting Manager and Director of Finance as requiredSupport the preparation and analysis of various financial reportsKnowledge and SkillsPost-Secondary training in accounting with five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in a financial accounting positionUniversity graduation and professional certification (CPA)Oracle experience would be an assetAdvanced knowledge and use of MS ExcelStrong customer relation skillsAbility to lead and be a team playerAbility to meet deadlines with attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsLicenses and/or Professional AccreditationCPA designationCommitment to Diversity and InclusionBGIS believes that diversity and inclusion are key business drivers and are woven into the fabric of our organization.
