You'll support clients in maintaining healthy, comfortable feet through assessments, treatments and education - helping them stay mobile, independent and confident. This role offers a balance of clinic based appointments and home visits, with a supportive interdisciplinary team that values connection, care and excellence in service.We are currently seeking one (1) Established Part Time Registered Foot Care Nurse to work days in the North Halton, Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton areas. As an Established Part Time nurse the individual is required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The candidate must have the availability to work Monday to Friday from the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.Provide foot and/or hand care to individuals in the Community and clinic environment.Understand and implement infection prevention practices while specifically adhering to care standards as it relates to foot care, and diabetic foot care.Assesses the health status of the client.Adheres to Public Health guidelines for reprocessing and sterilizing foot care tools provided.Document as per CNO guidelines.Liase with primary care physician as required.Attends team meetings as required.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Certification from an accredited Advanced Foot Care course.Registered with the College of nurses in good standing.Current CPR certificateExcellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skillsExperience working with clients in the community.Demonstrated initiative and commitment to professional development and skill enhancementKnowledge, skill, and ability to work independently to provide care to clients in the home settingVulnerable sector police checkUp to date immunizations and TB testAbility to speak, read, and write in EnglishDriver’s license and reliable transportationPay per visit:In-home visits $ 48.31Clinic-foot care $ 30.20Clinic-hand care $ 18.12Clinic-hand and foot care $ 42.27BENEFITS:Company provided smart phone and laptop or tabletFoot care tools and access to autoclave providedpaid vacationAcclaim Health is an equal opportunity employer and is actively working towards a more inclusive, diverse and equitable world.
