Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing regulatory applications, engaging with the public, and conducting pre and post construction environmental assessments. The role requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and plant identification skills. Must be self-motivated, have excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in both office (home) and outdoor environments.Key Responsibilities:Field OperationsYou will safely conduct various field activities such as drone assessments, reclamation vegetation assessments, wetland assessments, exploration testing, field verified water well surveys, water well installations and ground water monitoring are among some of activities we do around here. Fieldwork will take place in diverse outdoor conditions across Alberta, sometimes requiring travel on short notice. This role will require limited overnight field work, however much of the field work will be day trips being home at night.Regulatory Applications and ReportingIn this role, you will prepare and submit the necessary applications for gravel pit approvals. This includes developing Codes of Practice (COP), Conservation Operation Reclamation Plans, Public Land applications, Water Act Applications, Reclamation Certificates, and Development Permits. You will create clear and concise reports, supported by field data and maps for submission to clients and government agencies. You will also ensure that all documents are thoroughly organized and compliant with applicable regulations.QualificationsA diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field is required.Preferred 2 years experience in consulting or demonstrated experience working collaboratively in teams and taking ownership of delivering tasks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential. GIS skills are considered a bonusEffective communication skills, both in human interactions and in writing succinct reports and documentation, are also crucial.A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license (or equivalent) is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
