Intermediate Environmental Scientist - Project CoordinatorWSP in Australia is accepting applications for the Intermediate Environmental Scientist – Project Coordinator role.Job OpportunityThe Remediation Program Management (RPM) team offers a chance to apply your skills in contaminated site assessment, remediation, and reclamation. You will build a career, participate in technical and client delivery activities, and collaborate with mentors across the 65,000‑person company.What You Can Expect To Do HereSafely develop multidisciplinary and multi-site environmental remediation and recovery strategies.Assist project team members on core activities including: project coordination, field‑work program setup, field‑work instructions, health and safety plans, schedule and budget management, subcontractor coordination, & project filing.Guy mentoring and coaching junior staff.Compile, analyze and communicate site assessment, remediation and reclamation data for project teams.Support project planning, technical leadership and decision‑making on complex environmental projects in Western Canada.Provide field‑work support in Western Canada (up to 25 %) for Phase 1–2 ESAs, drilling, groundwater sampling, remediation and reclamation.What You’ll Bring To WSPBachelor’s degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.Experience related to the upstream oil and gas industry is an asset.Eligible to register as a Professional or Professional in Training with an applicable association (e.g., AIA, APEGA).Detail‑oriented, thrives in the office (up to 75 %) and crafts clear communications.Enjoys mentoring and training junior staff.Why Choose WSPWe value and are committed to upholding a culture of inclusion and belonging.Flexible work policy balancing on‑site and remote work.Hybrid work model that balances in‑person and remote work.Canada‑based success story with a strong international presence.Opportunities for career growth, mentorship and cross‑functional collaboration.Comprehensive employee‑focused benefits, including virtual healthcare, wellness programs, and savings plans.Important InformationHealth and safety is a core value.
