Base pay range CA$40.00/hr - CA$52.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Randstad Canada Human Capital Consultant | Finance Recruiter | Randstad Canada Join our clients dynamic team We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our clients team on a Contract Basis. Our client is a Not For Profit organization. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Serve as the primary liaison for Divisional Program Managers and Directors regarding financial reporting requirements and inquiries. Conduct in-depth analysis and reconciliation of current, capital, reserve, and balance sheet accounts. Investigate and correct discrepancies in monthly expenditure and revenue monitoring, bringing all foreseeable budget variances to the attention of the Business Administrator. Budget Management & Forecasting: Assist with the coordination and preparation of the annual Operating and Capital Budget Submission. Prepare and coordinate budget variance reporting and forecasting, retrieving financial data from systems like NetSuite and Questica. Develop and edit complex computerized budget spreadsheets and financial scenarios, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Treasury & Accounting Oversight: Oversee the timely collection and recording of all corporate revenues and manage the adherence to the Cash Handling Policy, including procedural reviews and testing. Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of all journal entries (monthly, quarterly, and year-end). Perform weekly balancing control and reconciliation of bank accounts. Review and approve orders and invoices for goods/services, ensuring strict adherence to the Procurement Policy. Compliance & Administration: Implement and monitor funding agreements and prepare related subsidy claims and financial reports. Develop and maintain financial and administrative policies and procedures. Provide direction and guidance to other staff members on financial and administrative functions. Assist the Business Administrator with reviewing Reports for financial implications and participating in special projects. Qualifications & Experience Education: An Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, typically gained through a University Degree (Business Administration, Commerce, Economics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Three to five years of progressively responsible, relevant experience in financial analysis, with demonstrated competence in analyzing complex accounts and interpreting financial statements. Professional Designation: Pursuit of a Professional Accounting designation (CPA, etc.) is strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of general ledger and budget systems (e.g., NetSuite, Questica) and a proven ability to build complex computer models, analyze data, and recommend solutions. Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills are mandatory for functioning effectively in a deadline-sensitive environment. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders. Other: A valid Class "G" Driver's Licence is required for travel to multiple locations.
