Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.We are currently recruiting for afull-timeStrategic Sourcing Specialist to support our Western Region team.Position OverviewReporting to the Director, Member Support, this position is responsible for providing support to lead and implement strategic sourcing processes which achieve the best possible overall value by implementing contracts for safe, quality products and services.This position should demonstrate an ethical, professional, and accountable manner as a liaison between Members, Suppliers, Internal Stakeholders and Strategic Alliances. Responsible for upholding and supporting Public Procurement laws and directives.Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing Initiatives – Full accountability for strategic sourcing activities including development, award, and management:Oversee and lead the sourcing initiative process from start to finish including contract development, negotiations and management, ensuring the best possible outcome.Establish and manage project timelines with internal customers and suppliers.Conduct research of business environment in support of initiatives.Manage all stakeholders through their roles and responsibilities within the sourcing initiative.Provide pertinent information relating to the regulatory business environment.Maintain timely and accurate reporting of the progress of RFx events in the reporting tool.Assist with the financial analysis.Preparing and presenting, to all stakeholders, all stages of sourcing initiativesNegotiate and execute contracts.Cross-functional team coordination.Monitoring Supplier and Member compliance, if required.Support category management and vendor relationship management activities as required.Support various special projects within Strategic Sourcing such as:Actively participates in developing and implementing corporate business plans and new opportunities.Provide support to internal projects such as new customer growth opportunities and special projects with the Ministry of Health/Ontario Health, if required.Support Member Engagement with the onboarding of new members to MMC, as required.Provide input/assistance to large, high-profile sourcing initiativesSupport the development of improved processes and templates for further standardization.Collaborate with Policy and Procedures updates.Contract ManagementAccountable for the ongoing management of existing contracts (product/Member additions), issue resolution, pricing changesInterfacing with Members on answering questions/queries on the contracts and delivering exceptional customer service.Qualifications and SkillsSkills and CompetenciesFamiliarity with online RFx software (i.e., Bonfire/Biddingo).MS Office, business – advanced knowledge, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Education, Training, and ExperienceMandatoryPost secondary degreeExperience –4 to 6 years’ experience in a sourcing environment involving contract development and contract negotiations2 years’ experience in strategic procurementDemonstrated ability to organize, control and coordinate various activities in a fast-paced, ever- changing environment.Knowledge/experience in materials provisioning and understanding of business and legal issues.Excellent communication skills with strong analytical abilities and mathematical aptitude.Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management and supplier qualification.Developing/conducting presentations – advanced knowledge.Project Management training.Conflict resolution training.Negotiation training.Business WritingPersonal AttributesAbility to lead multi-discipline project teams.Ability to interact with all levels of internal staff, hospital staff, clinicians, external stakeholders and suppliers.Team player, sense of urgency, strong communicator, resourceful, time management, integrity.Customer-centric “mindset.” Customer service oriented to ensure an enhanced customer experience.Demonstrated proficient communication skills, both written and oral.Demonstrated organization/time management skills.Ability to lead and champion multiple sourcing initiatives concurrently.Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders at one time (e, g., in a meeting situation), recognizing their position as subject matter experts; demonstrated proactivity and follow-up skills.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.Excellent process/project management skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills combined with analytical abilities.Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management.Demonstrates patience, tenacity and resiliency in dealing with situationsPreferredCertified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) certification completed or in progressBroader Public Sector and Ontario Public Service Procurement Directives RFx experienceBilingual in English and FrenchTravelAbility to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Human Resources.MMC is a Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) employer offering a comprehensive benefits package and flexible remote work options.
