OverviewSales Representative (British Columbia, Canada) at Smith+Nephew. Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.This posting is part of a pipelining process for potential future openings.ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical consultant for the product portfolio within the assigned territory, managing and growing defined business categories and ensuring access to Smith+Nephew technologies for patients through outstanding services to customers.Convert physicians/accounts by making sales calls and providing clinical case coverage in the operating room; train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through education/programs in the territory.Collaborate with key orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), administration, clinicians, and researchers; work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of products in the Smith+Nephew portfolio.Establish strong, positive relationships with physicians, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and hospital administrators to deliver trusted, data-driven solutions and gain meaningful access to customers.Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue and exceed sales targets.Become a technical expert in the product portfolio and provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.Partner with Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 2–5 years direct sales experience; medical device industry experience preferredExperience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call pointsProven track record of selling/converting business and achieving quota year over yearExperience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representativesTravelTravel within designated sales territory with 2–4 overnights a month depending on geography; infrequent national travel for events and conferences.Company & BenefitsInclusion and Belonging: Committed to welcoming, celebrating and thriving on inclusion and belongingInvesting In Your Future: RRSP programs, tuition reimbursementWork/Life Balance: Flexible personal/vacation time off, paid holidays, floating holidays, paid community service dayYour Wellbeing: Medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program, parental leaveTraining: Hands-on, team-customized, mentorshipExtra Perks: Discounts on fitness clubs, travel and moreWe’re a company and a community.
