OverviewSenior Associate, Nexus, BPO Back OfficeWithin MUFG Investor Services' Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) department, this team services hedge fund clients with portfolios comprised of equities, derivatives, and asset-backed securities. The position reports to the Associate Director, BPO and involves the preparation of performance and statistical reporting, and the review of NAV files prepared by third party administrators. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, gaining exposure to back-office activities from an investment manager's perspective.ResponsibilitiesReview and approve administrator NAV calculations for accuracy and completeness, liaising with the administrator to resolve any issues.Calculate fund management and incentive fees according to the fund’s legal structure.Analyze fund performance and class/investor allocations.Oversee fund accounting activities through maintenance of independent books and records, valuation, and reconciliation.Support the client with investor requests, management reporting and other ad-hoc queries.Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of funds.Produce other reporting as required to fulfill internal and external requirements.Train new team members (in person or remotely) on existing as well as new processes.QualificationsWe are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in fund accounting who is interested in broadening their skill set in a Business Process Outsourcing role. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are important, as well as an understanding of accounting concepts. Additional qualifications include:Experience in fund accounting for alternative investment fundsClient-facing experience with proven relationship management skillsAbility to work independentlyBachelors/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldProfessional designation such as CPA/CFA (or in progress) would be considered an assetAdditional InformationExperience something brilliantly different with a career with MUFG Investor Services.
