This is a unique opportunity to shape the design vision of our medical billing apps and create experiences that save physicians time, money and stress. We need someone who can blend big‑picture thinking with hands‑on design work, crafting thoughtful and impactful design solutions that set new standards for quality. You’ll be the creative spark that inspires our design team, offering guidance, mentorship, and fresh ideas that push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our goal is to raise the bar for digital UX in Canadian Healthcare. To drive that, you'll use your product design expertise to craft user interactions with Dr.Bill's products that feel seamless, and intuitive. You’ll also play a key role in bringing those interactions to life; collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other stakeholders to turn your bold designs into shipped experiences for healthcare professionals across Canada. Key Responsibilities Strategic Design Thinking: Play a pivotal role in shaping the design direction of our Dr.Bill platforms driving innovative solutions that increase Gross Billings (our North Star metric) and improve user efficiencies that align with product and business goals. You will support leading the design of the end-to-end customer journey strategy, from concept through to optimization, leveraging insights, and data-driven decisions. Design Execution: Develop detailed design solutions, from wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity visuals, ensuring seamless and efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams with a focus on building intuitive, high-impact customer experiences. Craft Ownership: Own the overall quality of design, consistently raising the bar for UX and UI standards, and connect often with our Marketing and Brand teams to ensure design excellence is reflected in product metrics and KPIs for Dr.Bill. Test-and-Build Approach: Lead research initiatives and deepen user-centricity alongside our Research team, by validating design decisions and hypotheses to ensure our deliverables truly meet the needs of our users on a regular basis. Process Mastery: Implement and refine design processes, design reviews, and hand-off practices. You are a master of process and execution, leveraging best-in-class design tools efficiently. Team Mentorship: Guide and inspire other designers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence in design craft. Design Advocacy: Champion design best practices, storytelling, and effective communication of design concepts and decisions to stakeholders. What You Need to Succeed Comfort in asking “why?” – you believe in data-informed decision making that leads to unique solutions for the healthcare professionals we help get paid. Experience designing holistic, end-to-end customer journeys with a service design mindset – thinking beyond individual screens to create a seamless experience across all touchpoints, from web, app, emails, support and everything in between. An adaptive and innovative mindset that can bring fresh ideas for how design can improve Health Professionals lives and make medical billing effortless. A deep collaborative approach to problem solving – you understand how to build relationships, actively listen, and work with others to move our business forward. Support for continuous and iterative improvement – you are comfortable and an advocate of design thinking and agile methods. Being meticulous and precious – you advocate and deliver beautiful visual design balanced with intuitive and elegant UX. Must Haves 5-7 years of experience creating impactful digital products. A strong portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and polished design work that influenced Product and Business metrics. Mastery of design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and others. Proven ability to pitch ideas, inspire teams, and give/receive feedback effectively. Experience crafting user experiences from concept to launch, always with a user-first mindset. Deep understanding of design principles—typography, color, layout, and creating engaging visuals. Skilled in streamlining design processes, from reviews to hand-offs, finding ways to make things better. Undergraduate degree in Design (e.g., interaction, visual communications, product, industrial) or a related field or equivalent experience. Nice-to-Haves Experience in Banking or Financial Services, and/or at large, matrixed organisations or fintech/startups. Experience in designing digital Healthcare or B2B SaaS applications. Experience in Webflow, Framer or other low/no code development tools. A strong understanding of Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices. Ability to leverage illustration and or motion design to create playful visuals or animations that resonate with our audience. Benefits A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits. A dedicated manager who will support, coach, and work with you to develop an individual career growth plan.
