Job Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Designer for our product team to design new features for our roster of mobile banking apps (Lyft Direct, Uber Pro Card) and launch new apps in the mobile banking space. You'll also be involved in crafting proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pitch decks to help us win new business and bring ideas to life for prospective clients.

The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for executing projects from conception through to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual and UX design, experience designing apps and digital products, and the ability to rapidly produce high quality work while managing overlapping projects and deadlines. Must be a strong visual, verbal and written communicator with excellent presentation skills.

The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter with strong attention to detail while possessing the ability to also look at the big picture. Must have ability to balance user experience, client needs, business and technical requirements while producing attractive, high caliber work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers to break down problems to define user stories and requirements
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and QA to create and deliver products that meet the highest standards of quality
  • Create flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mocks that effectively communicate complex design concepts and interactions, ensuring a clear understanding of user journeys and the intended user experience
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders through presentation of complex design solutions
  • Iterate quickly on designs based on post-launch data and user feedback
  • Craft proof-of-concept designs, prototypes and design-driven pitch decks that showcase our product and leave a lasting impression
  • Design and perform research to understand user needs and to validate designs
  • Contribute to maintenance and expansion of component library while ensuring consistency of design & UI patterns, language and branding elements across all product components (app, web, email communications, print material)

Required Skills & Education

  • 6+ years of digital design experience in native app and web design
  • Solid foundation in user experience best practices
  • Strong understanding of fundamental visual design principles such as composition, hierarchy, color, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, and proficiency with other standard design tools
  • Experience crafting visually compelling pitch decks or concept presentations

Portfolio Requirements

  • 4-5 of your best digital design projects
  • Must include mobile app designs
  • Must show your design process and describe requirements of each project
