Yamaha Motor Finance Canada ("YMFCA") is the established captive finance division of Yamaha Motor Canada ("YMCA"), and a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation ("YMFC"), focused on providing financial solutions to Yamaha dealers and customers through its Retail and Wholesale finance programs. Position Information Department: YMFCA Location: British Columbia/Yukon (the candidate must be located in BC) Status: Full Time Reports to: National Manager, Field Sales (YMFCA) Summary Of Responsibilities Working in an assigned territory, the Business Relationship Manager’s (BRM) goal is to position Yamaha Financial Services as the preferred provider for Retail & Wholesale Finance, YMPP Extended Warranty and Yamaha branded Ancillary & creditor products. As a representative for the finance company, the BRM executes the YFS “profit first” sales strategy – a defined process where BRMs gain dealer support by building and presenting individual dealer profit forecasts based on defined volumes for each YFS product vertical. As the first point of contact for YFS, the BRMs are a key liaison for new dealer training on YFS’s systems and programs, along with providing transactional support to dealers. BRMs also support dealers in an effort to reach top tier status on the Yamaha Motor Canada Performance 360 program and work with other field teams in the development and execution of Regional Territory Sales plans. Key Duties & Responsibilities Promoting the sales of YFS Retail, Wholesale & Protection product verticals and positioning YFS as the preferred Finance partner for Yamaha dealers. Build and nurture strong relationships with dealer principals, F&I teams and 3rd party outsourced F&I agents as applicable Maintain a high degree of communication with Yamaha dealers and head office through call reports and direct communication. Work closely with partners in sales, other aftermarket product groups and Safeguard to lead the “YMCA/YMFCA” market development initiative, focusing on Finance & protection Build and maintain a high market profile in the assigned market area with both internal and external contacts. Ensure all aspects of assigned relationships receive ongoing attention to maintain, improve, grow and retain the relationship. Primary source of information on competitive programs and risk appetite positioning Ensure YMFCA relationships add value to the dealership(s) while achieving regional goals and retail penetration objectives. Regularly achieve assigned targets for each YFS product vertical – retail finance (prime, non-prime, standard, sub-vented), wholesale finance & Yamaha Motor protection plan products. Deliver excellent service to dealers through improved dealer satisfaction and issue resolution. Maintain a high degree of communication with Yamaha dealers and head office through call reports and direct communication. Participate in regional dealer presentations and consumer trade shows as required. Experience Requirements Degree/Diploma: Bachelor’s Degree Program of Study: Business, Marketing, Finance or Economics Years of Experience: 5+ years Type of Experience: Consumer Finance Market and/or Sales Skills And Abilities Expert level knowledge of all aspects of prime and non-prime consumer credit, unit and payment protection products Ambition and desire to succeed; highly self-disciplined and intensely goal-oriented Strong understanding of dealer retail operations and sales processes Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service to dealers and colleagues Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to influence changes to adapt to new challenges and be seen as a changemaker amongst dealers Time management skills with sound judgment in prioritizing business development Ability to work independently from a home office and non-traditional schedules where required Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use other internal systems as required Overtime Requirements Frequent travel required; some national travel may be involved Work a minimum of 6 weekends during the fiscal year attending consumer shows and territory dealer events Expected salary range: $85,000 - $90,000 per annum (this role is also eligible for a competitive sales bonus + vehicle allowance) Although base salary for this position falls within the above posted range, final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
