Boarding Life Student Support Don Location: Oakville, Ontario (on-site) Type: Full-time contract ending June 2026 Salary Range: $34,000 (based on 10 months) plus on-campus housing and meals subject to taxable benefits COME JOIN OUR TEAM We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Boarding Life Student Support Don to join our Appleby College community. HOW YOU WILL THRIVE As a Boarding Life Student Support Don, you will support boarding students, organize weekend and holiday programming, and build strong relationships with students to foster a positive and inclusive boarding experience. HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED Provide pastoral care to boarding students during the day, evenings, and weekends, ensuring a supportive environment Build strong, personal relationships with students by being approachable, visible, and available to advise on both academic and personal matters Collaborate with the House Director and Assistant House Director to foster positive communication and culture within the house Plan and supervise weekend programs and activities, especially for long‑distance boarders Coordinate and supervise programming during long weekends and school term breaks for students unable to return home Undertake various supervisory duties including evening study duties, campus study duty, recreational facility supervision, academic day house supervision Participate in regular meetings with House Faculty and the Director of Boarding Life to discuss student well‑being and house activities Accompany students to medical appointments, when necessary, as well as assist during student emergencies Track student attendance and academic progress Commit to co‑cultural activities and clubs for three consecutive terms WHAT YOU BRING Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including faculty and health care providers.
