Job Summary

Funding for this position has been provided by the Ontario Public Service through the Summer Experience Opportunity Program.

A College or University student pursuing an education in Records and/or Information Management is preferred. This position may also be of interest to those pursuing a career in Library and Information Services.

Duties

The Student Helper will assist in developing, organizing, and maintaining a collection of material.

Qualifications / Experience
- Experience compiling, tracking and entering information into a computerized system and adding appropriate details

to facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Some exposure to cloud architecture platforms, including Office 365 and/or Laserfiche an asset but not required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Excellent reading, writing, organizational and communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of concepts, tools, and methods used in information management assessment, including taxonomy

development and maintenance as well as archival techniques and best practices.
- Knowledge of electronic resource management software, and integrated systems.
- Experience in libraries or research would be an asset.
- an original Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening, dated within the last six (6) months
