OverviewDEPARTMENT: DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING - ULTRASOUNDHOURS OF WORK: 0.5 FTE; MONDAY TO FRIDAY; ONCALL; STAT HOLIDAYS; WEEKENDSPOSTING DATE: 19 January 2026CLOSING DATE: 02 February 2026UNION: ONTARIO PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEE'S UNIONWAGE RANGE: $36.84 TO $51.77 PER HOURPosition ObjectiveWorking to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Ultrasound Technologist / Registered Sonographer will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the Ultrasound Technologist / Registered Sonographer is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. The successful candidate's home site will be Marotta Family Hospital, St. Catharines and must be willing to work at two or more sites.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Ultrasound Training ProgramRegistered and in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)Two years Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound experience in the past five years in a similar hospital settingAdvanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathologyDemonstrated knowledge and skill in vascular (carotid and venous), small parts, neuro and assisting in interventional proceduresDemonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment of diagnostic ultrasound imagesDemonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional developmentApplies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting accepted standardsApplies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and serviceIntegrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solvingWorking knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systemsMust be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick, paid holidays and call backsConsistent and regular attendance requiredProficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an assetHow to ApplyIf you are interested in this position, please visit our careers page by 11:59pm February 2, 2026 and submit an application through eRecruit.
