People person.As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing business within your assigned key accounts. In this role, you will actively lead and execute strategic growth initiatives, drive account performance, and take ownership of building strong, long-term partnerships with your customers and suppliers. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will champion cross‑functional collaboration to turn your vision for each account into results.Main ResponsibilitiesYour main responsibilities will include:Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic, trusting relationships with customers and suppliers to drive organic growth and support long‑term company objectives.Account Planning & Development: Create and maintain detailed account plans for existing customers, highlighting account profiles, market share, competitive positioning, and value creation opportunities.Commercial Accountability: Be accountable for the strategic plan on your accounts by thoroughly monitoring account performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and lead cross‑functional teams to ensure account objectives are met.Profit and loss accountability: Monitor the program’s profit and loss reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and working with cross‑functional teams to maximize profitability and service levels.Customer & Market Insight: Research, gather, analyze, and maintain deep knowledge of assigned accounts. Stay well‑informed of customer challenges, initiatives, goals, and competitors to identify and act on opportunities for added value.Bids: Build the suggested sales price and be the main point of contact for our customers’ buying team concerning bids for current and new business opportunities.Driving growth: Initiate, plan, and lead initiatives with customers and suppliers to identify and create opportunities for further sales.Project Management: Manage the new product launch process alongside cross‑functional teams, including setting deadlines, outlining project scope, and being the main point of contact during the lead‑up to the launch.Category and Portfolio management: Manage and optimize the product assortment within your accounts, including analyzing performance data, identifying gaps and opportunities, and aligning category or portfolio strategies with customer needs and company goals.
