Our Client values work-life balance and provide a workplace that blends professionalism with a sense of home.If you’re ready to advance your career in a place where you can thrive, apply nowSalary: Up to $55KKey ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of Real Estate files with minimal supervisionReview agreements of purchase and sale and conduct appropriate searches, including off titlesEvaluate and summarize search results and identify issuesDraft transaction documents for purchase, sale and financing of residential propertyPrepare draft requisition letters and responsesAttend meetings with clients to receive instructions, review documentation, have documents signed and report on statusLiaise with clients, counsel, financial institutions, title insurance companies, land registry offices, etc.Raise potential issues to the attention of lawyer or senior law clerkObtain and review title insurance policies and endorsementsAttend closing of transactions and electronic registration of title documentsAssist in transactions relating to zoning matters and land developmentPrepare and assemble closing booksMaintain files and records in accordance with Firm proceduresPerform ancillary duties and administrative tasks as requiredOther duties as assignedQualificationsLaw Clerk Diploma (or equivalent)5+ years of law clerk experience in real estate requiredKeen eye for detail and strong time management skillsExceptional computer skills, particularly with MS OfficeProficiency in the Ontario electronic land registry system (specifically Teraview) and Conveyancer (or Unity)To apply, please forward your resume to Zaheeda Merali, Manager – Law Clerk Search at zaheeda@cartelinc.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
