Senior System Architect

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior System Architect with 5+ years experience in system architect roles who can drive technical vision and architectural decisions for our next‑generation solutions in Montreal, Quebec. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a forward‑thinking approach to system design. Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, resilient systems leveraging modern architectural patterns including hexagonal architecture, serverless computing, and event‑driven design. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. Evaluate emerging technologies and propose innovative architectural solutions. Create detailed architectural documentation and roadmaps. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives to validate architectural decisions. Ensure system designs meet non‑functional requirements (scalability, performance, security). Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in system architecture roles. Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong expertise in event‑driven architectures and asynchronous messaging patterns. Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex architectural concepts to diverse audiences. Preferred Skills Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of data engineering and distributed systems. Background in API design and management. Understanding of DevSecOps practices. Experience with multiple programming languages and paradigms.
