The main objectives of this course are: to engage participants in an examination of the influence of information and communication technology, including social media, on key adult education praxis areas such as community development, literacy and nonprofit organizations. The course provides participants with a critical framework for analyzing Internet mediated environments; and encourages students to explore Internet resources that may be used in conjunction with traditional community development and adult education practice.The delivery of this course is Asynchronous.Estimated course enrolment: 25 studentsEstimated TA support: NoClass schedule (Lectures): AsynchronousSessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023Salary:Pay for half course, vacation pay included:Sessional Lecturer I: $9,182.42Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9,641.55Sessional Lecturer II: $9,826.96Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,025.84Sessional Lecturer III: $10,060.93Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $10,262.15Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum qualifications:Holds a PhD in adult education or a related field.
