Our ARC team consists of experienced engineers from a range of disciplines, delivering risk consulting services across natural hazards, fire safety, and institutional risk analysis, and providing bespoke training to optimize risk management. The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the NA Regional Manager – Property Risk Engineering, this role provides Property Risk Engineering and wildfire expertise to support underwriting in risk selection, retention, and wildfire risk analysis. The position includes field engineering (on‑site site risk evaluation) and account engineering (desktop review) risk assessment. It is a client‑facing role requiring collaboration with underwriting, brokers, clients, and cross‑functional teams. The role requires flexible use of data analysis, modeling, and AI to solve problems and deliver customized solutions. The position is remote with approximately 30% travel for field surveys and client meetings. Specific Responsibilities Support large corporate clients or complex business occupancies with on‑site field engineering surveys and plan reviews. Conduct account level overviews, desktop reviews, and risk assessments to support underwriting. Survey client operations across business segments, identify hazards, and generate comprehensive risk engineering reports and recommendations. Work with underwriting, clients, and brokers to develop value‑added loss control programs and services. Create work product (annual account summaries, prospect reviews, survey reports, confirmation letters) adhering to Account Service Instructions and GSOP. Manage time effectively, balancing field surveys, prospect reviews, and client interactions and maintain strong communication with stakeholders. Assist with ongoing or specific projects, ARC services, global initiatives, and training. What You’ll Bring Toward the Role Minimum 7 years loss prevention engineering experience in HPR or similar environment (Property). Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or another engineering discipline, or alternative discipline with extensive technical expertise in the property/HPR insurance industry. Strong knowledge of various business sectors/occupancies and wildfire‑related risks. Experience managing or coordinating large corporate property accounts. Experience in field and desktop evaluation and assessment of wildfire exposures, loss estimates, and risk engineering solutions. Preferred experience in specialty industries and emerging risks. Strong familiarity with NFPA, FM Global, and other fire protection guidelines. Knowledge of MS365, AI tools, data analytics, visualization, and NATCAT modeling principles. Self‑motivated and proactive, able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to travel throughout the US, with occasional Canada or international travel. Willingness to use AI tools to support day‑to‑day tasks. Compensation & Benefits The annualized base pay range: $113,495 to $176,673. Salary may vary based on role scope, complexity, location, and skill level. Base pay is one component of total compensation, which also includes performance‑based cash incentive awards and a comprehensive benefits program.
