Position Overview We are looking for a contract‑based Radiology Annotation Specialist and Anatomist to join our dynamic Annotation Team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in labeling and annotating radiology data, ensuring the accuracy of ground truth to support the development of cutting‑edge AI‑driven medical imaging models. Independently contract role with variable project hours ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week, based in Vancouver for an on‑site setting. The contract will continue for the duration of the project or until business needs evolve, with the potential for extension or early termination based on organizational requirements. What You’ll Do Annotate MRI or other radiological images across different anatomical structures, tissues, organs and pathologies ensuring high accuracy across various MRI sequences. Collaborate with radiologists and medical experts to refine annotation strategies and enhance labeling precision. Review, identify, and address discrepancies in annotated data, providing feedback to improve overall annotation accuracy. Develop and update annotation guidelines, tracking sheets and other relevant documentation, implement quality control measures ensuring best practices in radiology image annotation for AI applications. What You’ll Bring A degree as a medical doctor (MD) is preferred; alternatively a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in a relevant field with demonstrable knowledge of anatomy, pathology and radiological imaging, particularly sectional anatomy in MRI imaging either through work experience or coursework. Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret and annotate medical images, particularly in MRI. Deep understanding of medical terminology, diseases, and diagnostic imaging modalities. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with radiologists, AI engineers, regulatory personnel and other stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for identifying inconsistencies in annotated data. Prior experience in healthcare, particularly radiology, medical imaging, or AI‑driven annotation, is highly desirable. Previous experience reading and annotating MRI images using specialized annotation tools.
