Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, External Affairs will be at the forefront of public policy change in financial services; they will be an influencer, a strategist, and the embodiment of Fintechs Canada’s ethos. They will direct high-stakes conversations, and the alliances they forge will revolutionize the financial services industry. The Manager, External Affairs’ specific responsibilities include:

Stakeholder engagement: Establishing and nurturing relationships with key government officials and industry stakeholders, advocating for the advancement of fintech and influencing public policy. The Manager, External Affairs will be a voice that stakeholders trust, respect, and act upon.
Events and education: orchestrating events and other programs that don’t just inform—they inspire and influence, building a vibrant, diverse and engaged community of stakeholders for change.
Strategic direction: advising on, designing, and implementing rigorous strategies that achieve organizational objectives, ensuring that Fintechs Canada remains a connected and driving force in the industry.

As the ideal candidate, you have a demonstrated track record of relevant experience. You have an entrepreneurial spirit that will empower you to thrive in a start-up environment, and the drive to produce impeccable work, even if it means going the extra mile. A community-builder at heart, nurturing and strengthening relationships is second nature to you. When faced with challenges, your natural response is to push through with determination and tenacity.
