You are a seasoned Senior Construction Cost Estimator specializing in infrastructure construction cost estimating with a minimum of 10 years post‑graduate experience, looking for the next step or currently undertaking a comparable role in a similar environment. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a high‑performing team. In this impactful role, you will provide advice, leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values and vision of Turner & Townsend. Job Description Produce, present and defend construction cost plans and cost estimates for key infrastructure clients, developing complex engineering projects from feasibility/concept design up to detailed design (pre‑tender estimates). Review and validate cost submissions from General Contractor(s) within a Progressive Design Build contractual environment as part of Target Cost/Price Development. Challenge General Contractor cost build‑ups and associated assumptions when necessary. Provide costings of options and present these as part of project optioneering stages. Create cost reconciliation cost estimates with supporting justification for presentation to project clients and key stakeholders. Engage in value engineering workshops to identify cost savings and optimum solutions available for the client. Produce cost benchmarks for validation and target‑setting on major infrastructure projects. Actively interface with project clients, key stakeholders, contractors and consultants to provide cost advice during all project stages. Work in close collaboration with high‑performing project teams to ensure expectations are managed adequately and clients’ goals are achieved. Qualifications Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management degree and/or certification or equivalent. 8–15 years’ experience in cost estimating across pre‑contract and post‑contract phases of infrastructure projects. Membership of professional organisations is a bonus (e.g., CIQS, RICS, AACE). Knowledge and proficiency with estimating software used on major civil engineering projects. Experience as an estimator in the aviation sector is not essential but a bonus.
