Base pay range CA$90,000.00/yr - CA$110,000.00/yr Typical Day Liaises with Account Executives to discuss client needs and make recommendations regarding terms and conditions obtained and cyber security measures Analyze clients’ cyber exposures and develop tailored risk management insurance solutions Attend client meetings, as required Provides ongoing service as required, negotiating mid-term changes with insurers Prepares submissions to insurers and proposals for clients Creates and follows up on abeyances and documentation requests Acts as technical support to staff for policy coverage and company underwriting information needs, including policy wording review/comparison and review of contract & lease agreements Interpret and compare insurer wordings, limits, exclusions, and conditions Provide technical support on complex cyber files to internal brokers Act as an internal resource for cyber insurance across the organization Deliver training sessions and mentorship to develop staff cyber knowledge Monitor emerging cyber trends and communicate updates to staff and clients Passions Providing friendly, professional service Making a positive difference to those around you Sharing ideas and working with a great team of proactive, innovative thinkers Learning, growing, and pushing past barriers Living with integrity Taking ownership of your work and actions Outstanding Skills Building relationships – with clients, with underwriters, with colleagues … YOU are a people person Staying on top of priorities … YOU know every deadline and live by your To-Do list Paying attention to the little things that make a big difference … YOU dot your I’s, cross your T’s, and check all your boxes to make sure it’s done right ... the first time Managing your time … even in a pressure cooker, with deadlines looming, YOU keep your cool, knowing you’ve got this Proactively getting stuff done … YOU follow up and follow through Working behind the scenes to ensure an exceptional customer experience … YOU know that the customer expects excellence … and so do you Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber insurance, with a brokerage or insurer General Insurance Salesperson Level 2 through the Insurance Council of British Columbia; equivalent license in province of residence with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license RIBO license or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire Post Secondary Degree and designations such as CIP, CRM are considered assets Preferred Skills Cyber security knowledge and experience Experience using Epic broker management system an asset Benefits Fun From team-building activities to contests and giveaways, holiday parties to virtual/in-person social events, we believe in building connections, knowing that a happy team makes a happy workplace Career potential & leadership opportunities.
