Overview

The successful candidate will provide security and risk oversight and in the specialized field of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure. AtkinsRéalis' vast experience of projects and infrastructure operations across industries provides a unique opportunity for the Cyber Security consultant to work across industries and apply cybersecurity expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced field.

As part of the Industrial Cyber Security team in Canada, the selected candidate will analyze digital infrastructure and participate in design, governance, and/or operational stages of critical infrastructure to identify the risk and vulnerabilities to our clients across multiple industries in Canada and globally. The cyber security specialist defines and proposes resilient solutions, processes, and systems for the protection of people and critical infrastructure, through delivery of a secure digital infrastructure.

This position is based at our project office in Vancouver (preferably), and with Hybrid opportunities.

Your role

  • Provide cyber security for Industrial Control Systems and organizations to improve cyber resilience of critical infrastructure.
  • Plan cyber security activities and apply a risk-based approach in all phases of the project: feasibility, design, test & commissioning, and into operation of the project.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to align cybersecurity strategies across networks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of mitigation strategies.
  • Perform gap assessments and threat & vulnerability assessments as per industry standards by identifying critical assets and security controls.
  • Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project's lifecycle.
  • Define cyber security requirements to the suppliers and engage in the procurement activities.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate cybersecurity threats and improve OT security posture.
  • Deliver project inputs to meet overall project timelines and requirements.

About You

  • Diploma or degree in related field and at least 3 years of related experience in security role or equivalent combination of experience in cybersecurity, network architecture, and/or risk management programs.
  • Security certification or demonstrated experience, e.g., CISSP, GICSP, OSCP, C|EH, IEC 62443 Fundamentals, Security+, CCNP, etc.
  • Experience in critical infrastructure and ICS/OT is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of IT/OT systems including servers, networks, workstations, and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and ISO

Additional Considerations (preferred But Not Mandatory)

  • Understanding of other technology systems.

  • Automation / SCADA / Control Systems.

  • Telecommunications / Network Technology.
  • Information Technology / Data Centre.
  • Computer Sciences / Software Engineering.

  • Additional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISM, CISA, ISO27001 LI).

  • Demonstrated experience with compliance and regulation (NERC-CIP, CSA, NIS, etc.).
  • Bilingual French / English is an asset but not required.
