Our clients focus on advancing technology development in Canada and cover agri-food, advanced manufacturing, biotechnology/pharma and software/IT disciplines.ResponsibilitiesAs an Analyst, Tax [Research & Development and Government Incentives] your responsibilities will include:Research and analysis of current state of technology across multiple industries to understand base-line knowledge of our client’s business activitiesAbility to understand proprietary, cutting-edge R&D through discussions with clients and review of sample documentation from Engineering, Product Development, R&D and Production departmentsThrough interview and analysis of annual R&D efforts, develop a comprehensive and clear summary to reflect the experimentation, analysis and testing performed by our clientsUse of various technology tools that includes MS Teams, TaxPrep, and MS Office SuiteWorking closely with engineering, tax and assurance colleagues to prepare Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) and Digital media tax credit claims as well as other Government grant applications for our clientsDevelop and prepare job costing and tax schedules for SR&ED tax credit claimsHelp to proactively align funding opportunities with our client’s business activities and resolve tax related issues through research and analysis of available programsBecome proficient with the use of corporate tax preparation software and excel, preference to use of macros, to enable filing of claimsDoane Grant ThorntonIf you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $54,200–$74,550 in Mississauga. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.Our special culture shines through when we have the opportunity to connect in person.
