This role is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for developing and executing an integrated IT strategy that aligns with the company business plan while ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and high‑quality service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for you to expand your career as our company continues to growThis is a daily on‑site position based at our company headquarters in Elgin, IL, working closely with cross‑functional teams and directly influencing our technology strategy. Please note: this position is not remote or hybrid.What You’ll Do:Reporting directly to the VP, Information Systems and Technology, you will be responsible for 4 key areas:Strategic PlanningDevelop and implement an integrated IT strategy to support the business objectivesTranslate strategic goals into actionable plans with measurable KPIsCollaborate with senior leadership to identify and deliver effective IT solutionsContribute to business continuity and risk management planningRecommend technology investments to support business growthLeadership & CommunicationLead and inspire the IT team, aligning efforts with the company’s mission, values, and strategic prioritiesCommunicate IT plans and progress to key stakeholdersPartner with the VP of Information Systems and Technology to identify risks and opportunitiesDefine and report on KPIs to measure IT performance and user satisfactionOperational ExcellenceRoll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done from working on helpdesk tickets to leading new innovative technologiesManage the IT budget in alignment with strategic goalsDevelop and enforce IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Lead high‑impact IT projects and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure delivery of high‑quality IT services internally and externallyMaintain and upgrade hardware, software, and infrastructureEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and standardsOversee IT security implementation and service contractsPeople ManagementFoster a positive, high‑performing team cultureSupport the professional development of IT team members through coaching, mentoring, and trainingConduct regular performance reviews and ensure alignment with business objectivesPromote collaboration and succession planning within the IT functionWhat We’re Looking For - apply now if you:Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or related fieldHave 10 - 15 years of information technology experience with 5 - 7 of those years being in a management role; 2 - 3 years at the director level preferred.Have experience with large-scale ERP implementationHave strong understanding of IT in service‑based businessesHave strong knowledge of IT security and compliance standardsHave deep knowledge across a broad tech and cyber stack such as ERP Systems, Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Administration, Active Directory / Azure AD, Windows Server Administration (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.), Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, Firewalls, Switches, Routers), Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.), Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), Backup & Disaster Recovery Systems (Veeam, Datto, Acronis), Endpoint Management (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, etc.), Cybersecurity Tools (SIEM, EDR/XDR, MFA, MDM), Helpdesk & Ticketing Platform, and Collaboration Tools (Teams, SharePoint)Are an effective communicator and able to build relationships and communicate clearly across all levels and locations from leadership to field crewsAre strategically agile and quick to recognize and respond to changing needsAre results‑oriented, confident in decision‑making and committed to performance improvementAre action‑oriented and capable of resolving issues within appropriate timeframesHave high standards - motivated to challenge and improve existing systems and solutionsAble and willing to travel up 10 - 15% of the time nationally as neededOther responsibilities as assigned and/or neededWhy Duke’s?We offer a safety‑focused team environmentMedical, dental, and vision Insurance options with HSA and FSA plans availableCompany‑paid basic life, AD&D, and disability Insurance; supplemental options available for purchaseCompany‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)Safe Harbor 401K Retirement Savings Plan with up to 4% company match and immediate vesting in company matchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Recognition and Rewards ProgramCareer advancement opportunities with access to online learningEmployee discounts programCompensation Range:$115,000 - $135,000 annually, depending on experienceDuke's reserves the right to offer the selected candidate a salary or wage that's commensurate with the market, qualifications, experience, education, skills, training, certifications, and/or seniority.Duke's is a Drug‑Free Workplace.Equal Opportunity EmployerDuke’s Root Control, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, marital status, genetics, protected veteran status, gender identity or expression, amnesty, or any other protected classes in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
