Sr. QA Analyst, IT Crew Operations – WestJet Employment Type: Full‑time RegularCity: Calgary, AB (YYC)Posting Open Date: 12/17/2025Posting Close Date: 01/04/2026 (closes 11:59 pm MST) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. QA Analyst to join the IT Crew Operations team. The role involves requirements analysis, test case development, execution of tests, defect management, and other Software Testing Lifecycle activities. A large portion of the role will focus on a major project release, leading QA testing, and developing UAT test case scenarios. Key Responsibilities Perform end‑to‑end manual testing of the data integration platform, covering functional areas and business scenarios. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define test objectives and strategies. Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate platform functionality and ensure adherence to business and technical requirements. Utilize interfaces such as Sabre UI tools, API’s, and databases for test execution. Collaborate with other teams using the same platform and share testing approaches. Identify, log, and track defects, working with the development team to investigate and resolve them. Develop, maintain, and optimize a regression test suite. Continuously assess and improve manual testing processes, methodologies, and techniques. Collaborate with development to understand platform architecture and data flow for effective testing. Analyze test results and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders. Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with team members. Proactively identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with the test automation team. Stay up‑to‑date with emerging testing trends, tools, and techniques and propose adoption when appropriate. Qualifications and Experience 8+ years of experience as a Test Analyst, including 5+ years in a senior QA role. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience in Agile development and working within Agile teams. Strong expertise in UI test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot, Selenium, Appium). Proficiency with API test automation (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI). Experience with test case management tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans. Proficiency in SQL and message queue validations. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, testing principles, and agile practices. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
