Physician Assistant/ Clinical Assistant - Neurosurgery - 20025204 The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a full-time position in Neurosurgery at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Responsibilities Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions. Conduct history and physical examinations in various settings, including the Emergency Department, wards, and pre‑peri‑postoperative wards. Attend clinical and educational rounds. Maintain patient encounter records through dictation or electronic medical records. Communicate effectively in English with interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Qualifications Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant. Eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment. Prior experience preferred. Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to the CPSM (for Physician Assistants). Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school in Canada or abroad (for Clinical Assistants). Must have at least one of the following: Clinical Assistant Assessment, NAC OSCE, or LMCC. THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT POSITION Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and is accompanied by a benefits package. This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse, and Child Abuse Registry Checks. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. Interviewed candidates may be called upon to participate in a skills assessment and/or to provide evidence of educational achievements.
