There will be a focus on outpatient assessment and management of pelvic pain and Endometriosis.ResponsibilitiesPerform, order, and interpret diagnostic, therapeutic investigations/interventions as required.Conduct history and physical exams in a variety of settings that could include the Emergency Department and wards, and follow patients in the pre/peri/postoperative ward and/or other clinical settings.Attend clinical and educational rounds.Complete standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters; these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where available.Communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT POSITIONQualificationsMust be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.Prior experience preferred.Candidates must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM.Clinical Assistants: must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad and must have at least one of the following: Clinical Assistant Assessment, NAC OSCE, or LMCC.Additional InformationThis position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
