This position will be onsite based out of our Woodbridge, Ontario Canada manufacturing facility and will report directly to the General Manager.We are growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join usCome see who we are at: https://www.assaabloy.com/group/en/about-usWhat would you do as a Scheduling Manager?You’ll lead the production planning process, ensuring customer requirements are met while optimizing manufacturing and material flow. You’ll manage a team of Planners, collaborate across departments, and implement tools and processes that drive accountability, efficiency, and performance.You would also:Own and optimize the master production schedule, balancing sales forecasts, customer priorities, equipment capacity, and cycle constraintsLead, mentor, and develop the Scheduling/Planning team, fostering accountability, growth, and succession planningCollaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, Shipping, Quality, and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of resourcesEstimate and plan production times considering machine availability, backlog, tooling, product complexity, and outside operationsMonitor work-in-process, stock levels, and forecasts, maintaining optimal materials and WIP inventory to meet delivery and budget goalsTrack and analyze KPIs (schedule adherence, on-time delivery, capacity utilization), implementing corrective actions and driving data-based decisionsLead the transition from manual scheduling to ERP/MRP systems, streamlining processes, leveraging technology, and scaling workflows for greater efficiencyDrive continuous improvement and long-term planning initiatives, including capital projects, capacity optimization, and resource utilizationProactively resolve capacity, supply chain, and scheduling challenges while maintaining customer commitmentsContribute to a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment in line with AADG policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of ConductPerform other duties and special projects as requiredThe Skills and Experience you needPost-secondary degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)7–10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and operations leadership, including people managementDemonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of scheduling systems, ERP/MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning practicesProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools; familiarity with accounting or financial systems an assetExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesExceptional leadership presence with strong decision-making, project management, and change management skillsExcellent analytical ability, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple prioritiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customersWhat we offerCompetitive SalaryPaid Vacation, Sick Time, and paid Statutory HolidaysMedical, Dental, Vision, RRSP, Short and Long-term Disability, Life and AD&D InsuranceTuition Reimbursement, Learning and Career Development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgramDiscount portalRecognition, well-being, and employee experience programs designed to support and celebrate you throughout your careerWe review applications regularly, so don’t waitWe are building diverse, inclusive teams, and encourage applications from everyone who can see themselves working with us.To make sure your personal data is safe, we don’t look at any applications sent by email or post.If you have any questions about the role or the process, email Stephanie Mandato, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager at stephanie.mandato@assaabloy.comLet’s create a safer and more open world - togetherAADG, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veteran#LI-SM1#LI-OSAASSA ABLOY welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
