On-Call Health Care Aide (HCA) - Calgary AB We are currently seeking experienced Health Care Aides (HCAs) for on-call coverage in Long‑Term Care (LTC) facilities across Calgary. Position Overview This role is ideal for dependable HCAs who are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, facility‑based care environment and can pick up day, evening, and night shifts as needed. It is not a home care role; candidates must have hands‑on experience in an LTC or similar facility setting. Candidate Eligibility Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience working as an HCA in a LTC facility Facility‑based experience is mandatory Valid Canadian work permit or Canadian citizenship Able to work on‑call across varied shifts (days, evenings, nights) Required Documentation Active HCA Registration Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Education Credentials Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate First Aid Certification Valid and current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Valid and current Vulnerable Sector Check Issued within the last 2 years Criminal Background Check Issued within the last 2 years Immunization Records Tuberculosis (TB) Influenza (Flu Shot) Candidates who decline the flu shot must agree to Tamiflu treatment in the event of a flu outbreak at the facility Contract Details Contract Length: 3 months, with the option to extend Contractors may request removal from the contract at any time Shift Availability On‑call coverage Day, Evening, and Night shifts Compensation $23/hour – T4 employment $25/hour – Incorporated or Sole Proprietor contractor Contact Interested?
