Corporate Mechanical Engineer

Description: We are currently seeking a Corporate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brampton, ON. In this position, you will work in a multidiscipline engineering team to execute capital expenditure and plant maintenance projects of varying sizes.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Consult and negotiate with plant engineers to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings.
- Work alongside engineers from all disciplines in capital investment projects.
- Contribute to the development of mechanical engineering deliverables.
- Support IKO’s core values and leadership behaviors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience working in a similar role.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Ability to develop schematics in Autocad is a plus.
- P.Eng. in Ontario is required.
