DIRECTOR, HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) Join to apply for the DIRECTOR, HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) role at Northern Health - BC. Overview In accordance with the vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Director, HIM leads a team responsible for delivering Health Information Management (HIM) to the organization, which includes functions such as registration, release of information, records management and processing, health informatics and information management (HIIM) services and business process redesign. The Director leads changes as needed to ensure that HIM functions in Northern Health are delivered in a manner that supports integrated care and high-quality service delivery. Key accountabilities also include leading complex projects and quality improvement initiatives, managing high level stakeholder relationships and managing contractual arrangements related to HIM services. The position is a health informatics leader, advancing healthcare transformation within a framework of people, processes and technology to improve healthcare services. Location Prince George – Prince George is the centre of business, education, health and culture for northern British Columbia and services a rural population of about 300,000. The region’s economic growth and diversification strategies are creating outstanding opportunities for investors, employers and employees. Remuneration Starting salary will be approximately from $116,591 to $145,739 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
