The Manager is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and annual branch planning for ScotiaMcLeod Full-Service Brokerage business line. In addition, provide support for finance-related issues. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Monthly Financial Reporting: Oversee and produce the monthly staffing analysis and reporting. Ensure timely delivery of the monthly financial reporting and analysis (e.g., Interest Margin, Statutory Expenses, key metrics, etc). Prepare monthly and quarterly forecast updates for Senior Management decision making, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the financial results. Prepare quarterly DSU compensation details for Sales Management. Manage and oversee the Business Development Account (BDA) program. Annual Planning, including: Template development and distribution. Review and reasonableness of branch templates. Aggregation and analysis of branch plans to confirm they align with Firm plan targets. Prepare annual Strategic Plan ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of information. Assist Senior Manager with special project work and ad-hoc business analysis to support business strategies, including Business Line Management initiatives, profitability models, business development initiatives and operational efficiencies. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) or equivalent experience. The incumbent must be a self-starting, detailed oriented, results-focused and highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. In-depth knowledge of Wealth Management services and operations, and Advisor programs. Strong analytical skills with advanced competencies using Excel. Working knowledge of financial software such as OBI, Hyperion, or Peoplesoft. Must possess very good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with finance and business partners.
