It is easily accessible from both QEW and Hwy. 427 via Sherway Gardens Road. Anchored by The Bay, Saks Fifth Ave, and Nordstrom, CF Sherway Gardens is an upscale fashion and lifestyle centre with over 200 shops and services, known for its best‑in‑class retailers, lush gardens, and comfortable leather seating. Job Description Lead, mentor, schedule, and evaluate mall security officers. Monitor and maintain security coverage across all zones, entrances, common areas, service corridors, and parking facilities. Oversee the reporting and investigation of incidents (suspicious activity, theft, medical emergencies, disturbances, trespassing, etc.). Respond to emergency events, coordinate with external services (police, fire, EMS), and lead the security team in executing emergency protocols. Regularly perform or supervise patrols (foot, vehicle, CCTV) to detect and deter risks. Enforce mall policies, by‑laws, codes of conduct, and property rules (including the Trespass to Property Act, fire safety, health & safety). Work closely with property management, tenant representatives, and law enforcement bodies to maintain security standards, share information, and execute joint operational plans. Coordinate, review, and provide feedback on daily and weekly security reports, logs, rosters, incident files, and other documentation. Facilitate training, drills, and briefings (e.g., customer service, safety, emergency response, active assailant, first aid, evacuation). Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and identification of security or maintenance issues. Take part in new tenant onboarding, providing security orientation and integration into security protocols. Participate in strategic planning, continuous process improvement, and the development of security policies, procedures, and best practices. Act as the escalation point for site‑level security matters and enforce accountability within the team. Qualification & Skills Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in security operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Strong knowledge of security best practices, emergency response, physical security, investigation, and loss prevention. Demonstrated conflict resolution and de‑escalation ability. Strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and decision‑making under pressure. Comfortable using CCTV systems, access control systems, security software, radios, and mobile devices. Ability to manage multiple priorities, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. Prerequisites Valid Ontario Security Guard license. Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
