QA Automation Senior Specialist

Baseline Payments is looking for a QA Automation Senior Specialist Contract Type: Full Time in Office (4 days a week) Baseline is a Vancouver-based payments consultancy and fintech. Since 2012, we have built our business to a portfolio of nearly 2,000 clients across Canada and the U.S. We work with merchants on improving their accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. We investigate their needs, recommend solutions, connect them with processors/banks and other partners, and provide ongoing client support and consultation to keep up with rapidly changing payments environments. Baseline has its own payments platform — an EFT/ACH (bank-to-bank) cloud solution that competes well with the banks’ offerings. We are also working on the development of other solutions, including a marina management. What's the job? To maintain and enhance our quality assurance processes, we are seeking a test automation expert to help set up our testing infrastructure and build initial automated test cases. Responsibilities Solution Selection: Contribute to the automation solution selection (Potentially Seleniumor another leading solution) Solution Setup: Configure and deploy selected solution WebDriver and related tools for automated web application testing. Test Case Development: Create and document reusable test cases covering critical functionalities, regression, and end-to-end workflows. Framework Design: Build a scalable, modular, and maintainable test automation framework tailored to our platform. Integration: Integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab). Training & Handover: Provide documentation and basic training to our QA team for future scalability. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks. Proficiency in a programming language likePython,Java, orC#(Python preferred). Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Familiarity with fintech platforms or regulated environments (preferred). Knowledge of reporting tools likeAllureorExtentReportsis a plus. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) is advantageous. Understanding of test management tools likeJiraorTestRail. Proficiency with our programming languages and their corresponding environment and framework: Python; Node; React.js The compensation will be based on experience and relevant credentials.
