Your role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, for the News, Audio, Regions and Mauril portfolio, you will be a key member of the Marketing and Communications division. As a Marketing Strategist, your role will be to recommend, develop, and co‑coordinate marketing and advertising strategies for your assigned projects and campaigns for Mauril, the official‑languages learning product for the Canadian market (60 % of your time) and for the News/Regions portfolio (40 % of your time). Your main goal will be to increase awareness among target audiences while driving user engagement and loyalty. You will be responsible for implementing high‑impact marketing and advertising initiatives, measuring their effectiveness, and recommending data‑driven adjustments based on consumer insights. Specifically for the Mauril project, you will also collaborate on the development and execution of the creative strategy and ensure ongoing co‑ordination with the creative teams. You will be expected to demonstrate positive leadership working effectively across teams and departments to deliver high‑impact projects. Key responsibilities Recommend, develop, and co‑coordinate innovative marketing and creative strategies for the language‑learning platform, with the goal of acquiring new audiences for Radio‑Canada. Collaborate on creative work with the Senior Creative Manager, the creative team assigned to Mauril, and other CBC/Radio‑Canada departments involved in product development. Recommend, develop, and co‑coordinate high‑impact 360° marketing strategies and campaigns for projects within the News/Regions portfolio, overseeing all development phases from planning to co‑ordination and analysis. Work closely with colleagues to align marketing planning (internal media, external investments, social media, newsletters, etc.) and key messaging, ensuring consistency and optimization of campaigns. Ensure that strategies and projects are high‑performing, aligned with corporate and Marketing & Communications objectives, and grounded in the user journey of our digital audiences. Prepare clear, strategic marketing and media briefs, and help draft creative briefs, ensuring that all stakeholders have a thorough understanding of the content. Oversee all follow‑ups for your assigned projects. Collaborate with various departments to deliver strategic, creative, and high‑performing marketing initiatives that support our go‑to‑market objectives. Work with the media planning team to review and strengthen external media plan proposals, ensuring alignment with objectives and user journeys. Analyze market data and campaign performance, adjust actions based on results, and recommend and implement tactical and/or creative modifications to improve outcomes. Produce or co‑coordinate the production of required marketing materials. Advise and work with marketing and creative management in determining the human, financial, and technical resources needed for projects. Stay informed about new trends in digital marketing, emerging technologies, and consumer behaviours in the media landscape. Advise and support your leadership team and other CBC/Radio‑Canada departments in developing strategic directions for your portfolio. Please note that this is a 12‑month contract position. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience demonstrating a strong understanding of marketing and creative strategies will also be considered. Five (5) years’ relevant experience in similar roles, involving marketing and creative strategy. Skills Keen interest in digital media and emerging technologies. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects. Strong knowledge of marketing and creative development. Proven strategic thinking and advisory experience. Ability to communicate and work effectively and harmoniously with all levels of staff and management. Innovation and creativity; ability to develop new approaches to content development, as well as promotional strategies and tactics. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent judgment, initiative and independence. Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrate effective time management. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written French. Intermediate oral, writing and reading proficiency in English. Experience with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
