OverviewIndustrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) – Relocation to Sept-Îles at BBA Consultants.To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team develops the Sept-Îles region and executes various projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams combine cutting-edge technical expertise with a strong commitment to operating and maintaining industrial power systems. ResponsibilitiesAssist industrial clients in day-to-day operations: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset managementPerform site surveysParticipate in equipment testing and commissioningConduct short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonic analyses, and steady-state/transient analyses in industrial power systemsDesign and read electrical drawingsDraft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reportsAttend internal or client coordination meetingsParticipate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.) QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMember of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent)Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experienceAvailable for short-term assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needsAvailable for short-term and long-term assignments with clients across Québec and the rest of CanadaKnowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applicationsBilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, and ability to draft technical documents in both languagesAsset: Graduate from the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE)Asset: Onsite internship or experience related to industrial networksAsset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RV software Benefits and About BBAAnnual base salary and eligible for regular employee premium programsOnsite mobility premium, cellphone program, and group insurance starting day one (including short-term and long-term disability)Retirement savings plan, vacation and sick leaveProfit-sharing program for regular employeesCareer growth opportunities across technical, team management, and project management tracksSupportive, collaborative team and access to custom training and development plansParticipation in innovation projectsAbout BBA: For over 40 years, we’ve pushed the boundaries of engineering to serve clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
