Overview Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) – Relocation to Sept-Îles at BBA Consultants. To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team develops the Sept-Îles region and executes various projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams combine cutting-edge technical expertise with a strong commitment to operating and maintaining industrial power systems. Responsibilities Assist industrial clients in day-to-day operations: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset management Perform site surveys Participate in equipment testing and commissioning Conduct short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonic analyses, and steady-state/transient analyses in industrial power systems Design and read electrical drawings Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reports Attend internal or client coordination meetings Participate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent) Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experience Available for short-term assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs Available for short-term and long-term assignments with clients across Québec and the rest of Canada Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applications Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, and ability to draft technical documents in both languages Asset: Graduate from the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE) Asset: Onsite internship or experience related to industrial networks Asset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RV software Benefits and About BBA Annual base salary and eligible for regular employee premium programs Onsite mobility premium, cellphone program, and group insurance starting day one (including short-term and long-term disability) Retirement savings plan, vacation and sick leave Profit-sharing program for regular employees Career growth opportunities across technical, team management, and project management tracks Supportive, collaborative team and access to custom training and development plans Participation in innovation projects About BBA: For over 40 years, we’ve pushed the boundaries of engineering to serve clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
