Enforce adherence to safety regulations, work permits, and site-specific procedures through regular inspections and safety leadership. Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to align with project schedules and productivity targets. Read and apply blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide field operations and ensure accurate execution. Inspect work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and job hazard assessments to promote a strong safety culture. Act as a liaison between project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trades to resolve field issues and maintain workflow. Monitor daily progress, identify delays or resource gaps, and provide timely updates to leadership. Support the training and development of apprentices fostering skill growth. Maintain a zero-incident safety record through proactive site supervision and enforce safety protocols. PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and to specification. Maintain daily and weekly schedules, adjusting resources as required to meet deadlines. Conduct daily safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks. Ensure 100% compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations. Supervise and coordinate all trades, subcontractors, and site personnel. Resolve on-site conflicts promptly and professionally. Maintain clear communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders. Optimize use of labor, materials, and equipment to reduce waste and downtime. KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION Journey level Red Seal certification from a recognized provincial training authority considered an asset. Proven 7+ years of experience supervising, leading and managing trades personnel in a maintenance, turnaround and construction environment. Leadership for Safety Excellence Certificate.
